The International Aloe Science Council (IASC)
Aloe Life® raw materials are purified and safe for both topical usage as well as oral consumption. Calmino group AB is an active member of the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) and our Aloe Life® raw materials are certified by the IASC. IASC is a control and verification organization, which provides consumer protection and quality certification. This guarantees high quality aloe vera products.
Calmino group AB uses only high standard suppliers from around the world, undergoing regular audits and using special manufacturing process which ensures the removal of the notorious “anthraquinones or aloin”. Anthraquinones have a laxative effect and have also been associated with possible carcinogen effects. As a part of the company’s own specifications, Aloe Life® extracts contain <1 ppm of aloin, which is ten times less than the IASC maximum allowed limit.
Quality approval is carried out by Spectral Service, an accredited and GLP certified laboratory. The laboratory is also GMP certified and FDA audited. Aloe Life® raw materials are also organic certified by SGS Europe and are completely free from preservatives.

The genus aloe contains over 400 different species with Aloe barbadensis Mill. being the most popular and the most commercially grown species. The part of the aloe vera plant which attributes to its beneficial effects, is the colourless gel obtained from the inner part of the fresh leaves, known as the aloe gel.
