Calmino group AB has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Australian biotechnology company Immuron Limited to launch PROIBS® in the United States. The agreement will bring the IBS product developed in Gothenburg to the world’s largest market for digestive health products.
Immuron Limited is listed on both Nasdaq in the United States (NASDAQ: IMRN) and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: IMC). The company will be responsible for the marketing and sale of PROIBS® in the U.S. market.
The agreement builds on the existing collaboration between Calmino and Immuron in Australia, where Immuron launched PROIBS® during its 2026 financial year.
Strong international interest in the agreement
Since Immuron announced the agreement on September 4, the news has received widespread coverage in U.S. and international financial media.
Immuron’s share price rose sharply on Nasdaq during the trading session and closed approximately 62 percent higher than on the previous trading day. The stock also traded at an exceptionally high volume.
The U.S. digestive and gut health supplement market is estimated to be worth USD 4.16 billion. Immuron intends to target a segment of this market with PROIBS®.
Market leader in Sweden
PROIBS® was developed by Calmino in Gothenburg and launched in Swedish pharmacies in 2010. According to sales data from IQVIA, PROIBS® was the best-selling IBS product in Swedish pharmacies during the full year 2025, measured by both sales value and number of packs sold.
In Europe, PROIBS® is a CE-marked medical device developed to relieve symptoms associated with IBS, including abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea and constipation. The product is based on the proprietary plant extract AVH200®.
Calmino currently exports its products to 16 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Australia. The agreement with Immuron expands the company’s international presence to include the United States.
