Exploring treatment options for irritable bowel syndrome and related functional bowel disorders
Functional bowel disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), are conditions that significantly impact quality of life. These disorders are often characterized by chronic abdominal pain, bloating, and altered bowel habits, ranging from constipation to diarrhea. Our mission is to address these challenges by developing safe, effective, and well-documented solutions rooted in scientific research and clinical expertise.
Our research focuses on hydrogel-forming polysaccharides derived from natural sources and their potential to support gut health. These compounds may work by forming a protective barrier over the intestinal mucosa, reducing inflammation, and modulating immune responses. Understanding these mechanisms is key to creating targeted therapies for functional bowel disorders.
Strengthening existing indications for current products, based on our unique and chemically characterized hydrogel extract. Our research also involves investigation of gut microbiota and metabolic profiles as prediction tools for treatment efficacy.
Conducting high-quality research including pre-clinical and clinical studies. All studies are ethically approved and all research activities committed towards publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
